The second point concerns this isuue of the Alumni Magazine which
begins its third year in the present expanded form. The interest of the Alumni
has been truly gratifying as shown by the increased enrollment in the Association, especially during the past year. More dues have been paid than in
any other recent year.
We wish the good work to continue with increased effectiveness, but
the results depend upon how you as Alumni respond. The two dollars dues
will be very much worthwhile in extending the scope of the Magazine and enlarging the activities of the Association. In a larger manner, the Association
hopes to render a mutual service to the graduates and to the present forward
program of the College.
The third point of interest is the new position of Public Relations Secretary added by the College this year, from which James R. Smith, of the class
of 1935, has been selected. In addition to his various other duties Mr. Smith
has been named Executive Secretary of the Alumni Association. The Alumni
office and Magazine will be under his direction. He will also be in charge of
