SUTTON of Beckenham (H. Coll.). Azure, in chief
two flashes of lightning, in base a caduceus or Mercury’s
staff, and a chief all or. Mantling azure and or. Crest—
On a wreath of the colours, a dolphin naiant embowed
sable, between two sprays of foxglove proper. Badge—A
rose gules, leaved and slipped and a spray of foxglove
proper, enfiled by a circlet or. Motto—“ Terra marique.”

pommel and hilt or (Nelthorpe) ; 2 and 3, argent, a canton
sable (Sutton). Mantling sable and argent. Crests—On
a wreath of the co ours, out of clouds, an arm couped fesse-
wise proper, holding a sword as in the arms (Nelthorpe);
2. on a wreath of the colours, a wolf’s head erased gules
(Sutton). Motto—“ Touts jours prest.”
