FRANK L. BROWN, FRANCIS P. CASS, CAMILLA S. HILDRETH, School Board.  REPORT OF SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS. To the School Board and Citizens: During the year the superintendent’s work in the union has become better organized, the needs of the schools are better understood, and, in some cases, have been better supplied. For several years Canterbury has not expended all its appropriation for text-books and supplies. We have this year drawn on this unexpended balance and have made considerable improvement in our text-books. All the schools have been furnished with new geogra­ phies and some new arithmetics have been bought. The school boards in all five districts of the union have now adopted the Uniform Accounting System devised by the State Tax Commission and prescribed by the State Board of Education, and have this year arranged to have all their bookkeeping done in this office. The superin­ tendent’s secretary has charge of this work, but a con­ siderable amount of it is actually done by the senior class in commerce of Penacook High School.
