EBBLEWHITE.—Mr. Ernest Arthur Ebblewhite is now LL.D. (honoris causa) of Sheffield University, chairman of Highgate Petty Sessions, Past Master of the Worshipful Company of Ironmongers, Commander of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, and has received a bar to his Order of Mercy.

FRANKLIN.—Dr. Charles Aubrey Hamilton Franklin, married 18 July, 1929, Erica Milly, eldest daughter of Felix Dickeson Bolton, of Haimer House, Bickley Park, Kent (q.v.), grandson of late Sir Richard Dickeson, Kt., J.P., of Dover, co. Kent, and impales the arms of Bolton, namely—Quarterly, 1 and 4, Bolton; 2 and 3, Dickeson. He now resides at Kerri, Pines Road, Bickley, Kent.

Mr. Charles Peter Damian Franklin, of Wakefield, co. Yorks., married 1928, Olive, daughter of Robert Rowand, A.M.I.C.E., of Sandal, Wakefield, and has issue— David Cyril Franklin, Gentleman, born 1929.

GRANT.—Mr. Francis James Grant was appointed Lyon King of Arms, 1929, and now impales his family arms with the official coat of Lyon King of Arms.
